APRIL 10, 2012 FACIAL SCRUBS

"Treat your friends as you do your photographs and place them in their best light." Jenny Jerome Churchill

Sounds interesting. Rick and I have a display of family photos in our den. Among them are some of our friends. It is always a question- who is truly a friend? Who can you trust? Are your friends honest with you? I could write a whole thesis on friendships and acquaintances which never should be confused. We try to place our friends in the best light but sometimes we get disappointed. This is our own fault. You may ask, "Why?" The simple answer is expectations. For me, as hard as I meditate and pray, I still have some expectations of certain individuals in my life. My goal for today is to let go of expectations.

For those good friends -- try the below:

Why spend a lot of money on facial scrubs? You can utilize Mother Nature and its wonders

It is simple, easy and very cost effective. Best of all it works!

This is what you will need---

1. 1 tablespoon of honey (I prefer to get this from a local bee keeper and support him/her- get a wild flower honey)

2. 1 tablespoon of ground almonds

3. 2 tablespoons of dry, raw oats (steel cut preferred since these are gluten free)

4. the juice from half a lemon (do not lemon juice from the bottle)

Mix in a bowl. Apply to face Leave on for 5-10 minutes and wash off with warm water.
Since I tried this last night I would recommend grinding both oatmeal and almonds in a grinder to get a smoother texture

As I was writing this I was thinking of wild oat as a flower remedy. The flower remedy, Wild Oat is for uncertainty and frustration with your current activities. It for the person who doesn't know his/her purpose. You know...those who drift from one job to another or from one relationship to another. We all know someone like this. Suggest wild oat remedy.

This flower remedy, Wild Oat has been very useful to me personally. I always had the ambition to help people, but my true calling was using plants. Wild Oat flower remedy helped me realize this. It centered me. It allowed me to find my vocation-- healing with plants, stones, herbs, and energy medicine. It balanced my need for spirituality and meditation. I cannot stress how much meditation and prayer assist me. This is not a religion, but my own spirituality.

There are many natural facial scrubs. I would try more than one. Just as I would try more than one herbal bath with dry herb or essential oils.

Until tomorrow...
